BUZZZZZZ
What a busy day today, I started the day off by going on a field trip with my son Reef's kindergarten class, we went to the Oak Ridge Tennessee Children's museum. The Oak ridge Children's museum use to be the elementary school in Oak Ridge, the City was America's secret City to learn more about it check out this web site http://www.secretcitythemovie.com/.
When we got home I was tiered after hanging out with Kindergartners all day, I almost took a nap and then I discovered that there were blooms on a bush in my yard that I had been waiting to bloom for months, the bush has been covered with green buds since Winter. I was so excited I ran In, grabbed my camera and started shooting. As I was shooting the beautiful purple buds of the bush I looked up to my delight to see a tree full of bee's and butterfly's, below are some of my favorite photos I captured.

Knoxville Chalk Walk
Today we went to the Knoxville Chalk walk festival, unfortunately mother nature did not get the memo that chalk does not play well with rain. I did manage to get a few photos of some of the Chalk art, the rain even made a girl in one of the Chalk art pieces look like she was crying, I also met a new Pit Bull friend that was so adorable I could not resist taking his photo luckily he had a nice human who allowed me to photograph him and after I was finished photographing his dog told me that he is definitely going to go back to school and take photography, I thought that was kind of neat!
I discovered some really cute little boutiques in down town that I plan on being a customer of, one boutique the lady loved my jewelry that I made she was so interested that I am going to show her some pieces that I have for sale. My birthday money came in the mail today from my mom and dad so this week I will be adding a few new toys to my jewelry making collection to include a blow torch, jewelers dowel for shaping my sterling sliver and copper rings, and a drill press for putting holes in my gemstones and rocks.
Fingers crossed for beter weather for the Chalk Walk tomorrow.

April Showers
Everyone has certain things that they are attracted to and just can not resist when it comes to photography, high up on my list of must photograph is raindrops. I enjoy everything that comes with the rain, the thunder, lightning.clouds, cooler temperature, smoke rolling off of a hot concrete road, the fresh smell of the earth after a rain but my absolute favorite part about rain is the raindrops that it leaves behind on the plants and flowers.
It rained today so I was quick to take advantage of the opportunity to photograph my favorite little wet subject. It is so interesting how some of the rain drops catch the light and almost glow on the blades of grass or leafs.

getting strated stopping for a photo- op before we enter the Fort |
The English knew how to build a fort! |

the most beautiful view of the Tellico which use to be the Little Tennessee River lies just beyond the Fort walls, which are made out of logs with carved spear heads |
Reef playing with the cannons |
breathtaking view of Fort Loudon |
Reef had a ghost encounter in here, he had to go back and take a photo to see if the camera could pick up on anything and he was feeling cold spots in this room. |
