Reef lost his first front tooth

Super proud mommy moment! Reef  woke me up out of a dream at around 2am whispering that he pulled out his tooth all by himself! He was SO EXCITED and asked me if I was proud of him. I told him a great BIG YES.

The tooth fairy is making a special stop at our house tonight! I'm going to do this cute thing I saw on Pinterest where you sprinkle fairy dust (glitter) and you take a Q tip and make little fairy foot prints in the glitter <3

A fresh rain is one of my favorite weather conditions, I love everything about a rain storm the sound the raindrops, smells, colors in the sky, my absolute favorite thing about a rain is the dew drops it leaves behind. I love to take advantage of  the fresh rain and dew drops and get out in my yard for some photos.

These photos came at a price, when you live in the woods the mosquito's are everywhere, but I can not help myself to venture in to the woods to get shots of all the fascinating fresh blooms and foliage... 20 mosquito bites and counting.

One of my favorite subjects to shoot is the little twisty branches that spout off of the trees in my yard, they are like tiny works of modern art and they just captivate me sometimes these little twists of tree art are helping to hold other parts of the tree that have fallen it is so interesting... (I will post an example photo of this below)

Leaf Bug Fun

Oh the bugs you will find in the woods of TN....

This little green guy disguised as a leaf invaded our house last night, we played until our Cat Jojo wanted to make him a 2 am snack.

One of Reef's Alien toys that was in my kitchen waiting to be washed (he was still covered in mud from our fossil dig/mud play day) The Leaf bug liked him!

He flew up to the top of my cabinet to land on one of my sticks from the desert in California. I made Reef get him down.

He flew back on to the alien....

made his way in to the living room where my cat Jojo quickly spotted him and tried eating him, so I scooped him up and put him back outside. Jojo was not happy with this decision however I am sure the leaf bug was glad he got to live another day.

Reef's customized NERF blaster

Reef and Rob customized Reef's favorite Nerf blaster gun! Reef was really stoked and I was impressed with Robs artistic customization. I told Reef to smile and he told me that Nerf guys have serious faces :)
