The God Gene

I have been very interested in the subject of FunVat I decided to do some research on the subject and I found this video to be interesting. If you read the comments below the video you will see a very interesting and thought provoking comment made by someone who suggested to consider the government adding fluoride to everything even though fluoride can be poisonous and have adverse effects on the human body.

I am going to research why the government decided to add the fluoride to everything, what year this happened, who was behind the bill, political party affiliation and hopefully this will help me to form an opinion.

Please if you have any thoughts on this subject or anything to add, leave me a comment.

Till the cows come home

I spent my morning photographing cows and an old barn. I was so lucky to have the farmer who owns the property pull up and offer to take me to the cow field to get a better look.

The farmer did what he called a feed yell and the cows came stampeding. I helped him to discover a new calf pictured in the center that he did not know had been born.

Come play in my yard!

After my morning workout I came home to discover that the flowers that I have been waiting to bloom had blossomed over night, very excited I grabbed my camera to make sure that I photo documented these beautiful newly blossomed flowers from ever angle.

If you pause for a moment and tune in to nature your ears will be in for a treat. The bees buzzing, birds chirping, bugs crawling, squirrels foraging and hoping from branch to branch. I have noticed that the smallest things in the woods make the most sound. Nature is a beautiful thing and when you tune in to the sounds of nature it takes the experience to a new level.

When you slow down and tune in to nature you are able to not only see but hear an entirely new world of sound. I have realized that the ground is moving all the time with the smallest bugs to the biggest slugs, just take a moment to stop and see and re program your ears to hear the rhythm of nature.

Night bird for Laura

Some shots I took in my yard this evening, tonight I was focusing on working with natural lighting when the sun is setting. The sunset provides the most beautiful lighting with warm golden hues. In order to work with the natural golden sunset lighting you have to work fast, I find that you get the most perfect soft hues of golden light during the last 15 minutes of the sun setting.

My yard was completely alive with new blooms, bugs, and birds getting in the last meal of the day. My favorite shot of the night was the silhouette of the bird which I took as a gift for my friend Laura.

Friday morning workout

I just finished my Friday morning workout and I feel GREAT! I have pretty big fitness goals and I am on a mission. I have always been in to health and fitness and had my ups and downs like most people. Seven months ago I got sick and had an emergency thyroidectomy of my right thyroid since they removed my thyroid I gained around 60lbs obviously my metabolism was slowed way down and I was not eating right or taking care of my body, my focus was on my very stressful retail management position and not on my body.

To most people 60lbs might intimidate them but to me I look at losing that 60lbs as motivation, I know that I can do it with hard work and dedication to nutrition. In 2005 I went from 130lbs rock solid to 245lbs when I was pregnant with my son, it took me 10 months of nutritional dedication and a lot of workouts but I lost 120 lbs and got down to 125 I felt great! That is my current fitness goal to get back down to 130 and muscle up! For me I love the feeling of being strong and seeing lean muscle.

My workouts consist of a lot of functional outdoor workouts that do not require anything but a park bench and your own body weight. This morning I walked 6 miles around my local park, did 200 walking lunges (my favorite), bench dips for the triceps, leg raises, abs, and reverse leg raises.

My game plan is to do 1 hour of cardio mostly outdoors 7 days a week, and weight bearing exercises 6 days a week with one day of rest.

My daily supplements:

Vitamin B Complex
Vitamin C Chewable
L Lysine
Biotin
Stacker 3
Lot's of green tea
Yogi's Detox tea
Apple Cider Vinegar

I will be adding a whey protein, L Glutamine, White Kidney bean extract, this week and in about 6 weeks I will add creatine.

working hard to get back to this!

Me and my son at the beach, I was teaching Bikini Boot Camp 4 days a week

Going to get back to this but better!
